Dead Cross, California’s sensational heavy metal and hardcore punk artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!
The band was formed by vocalist Gabe Serbian (also a member of punk bands Locust, Head Wound City and former member of hardcore punk band Retox), guitarist Mike Crain (Retox), bassist Justin Pearson (the Locust, Head Wound City and Retox), drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer and Fantômas). Their musical style is best described as a blend of heavy metal (a subgenre of rock that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s and features a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness) and hardcore punk (a subgenre of punk rock that in the late 1970s and is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock). They had their debut performance in December 2015 and 3 months later, they released their debut single (We'll Sleep When They're Dead) via digital streaming. Gabe left the band shortly thereafter and in December 2016, Mike Patton was recruited as the new vocalist. Their eponymous debut studio album comes out in August 2017 and it’s produced by Ross Robinson; the music producer renowned for discovering acts such as Korn, At the Drive-In, Glassjaw, The Blood Brothers, Repeater, Slipknot, Sticky Hair, and Limp Bizkit.
