Do you like Gramercy Theater?

Fozzy, Georgia’s sensational hard rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!

The band started out (under the moniker Fozzy Osbourne) in Atlanta in 1999 as a cover band featuring frontman and guitarist Rich Ward along with any musicians he could find in a given week. Rich met Chris Jericho (of WWF fame) after a wrestling show and invited him to play with the band. He sat in on a few sessions and it wasn’t long before he became a permanent band member. They shortened the band’s name to Fozzy and released their eponymous debut album in 2000. Their musical style can be best described as a blend of heavy metal, progressive metal (a fusion of heavy metal and progressive rock that combines the loud aggression and amplified guitar driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or pseudo classical compositions of the latter), hard rock, and alternative metal (a genre that infuses heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal). They went on to have a stellar career with 6 studio albums, 1 live albums, 2 compilation albums, 2 video albums, 6 music videos, 18 singles, and they’ve won a Loudwire Music Award. The band currently consists of Chris (lead vocals, piano), Rich (guitars, backing vocals), Frank Fontsere (drums, percussion), Billy Grey (guitars, backing vocals), and Paul Di Leo (bass guitar, backing vocals).
