God Street Wine, New York’s sensational multi genre artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!

God Street Wine (also known as GSW) was formed in New York City in the late 1980s by Lo Faber (guitar and lead vocals), Aaron Maxwell (guitar and lead vocals), Dan Pifer on (bass guitar and vocals), Jon Bevo (piano, organ, and vocals), and drummer Tomo (aka John Thomas Osander). They had their debut performance on 13th December 1988 at NYC’s Nightingale Bar and they went on to make a name for themselves with shows lasting more than 3 hours, featuring lengthy musical improvisations that drew parallels with shows by the Allman Brothers Band. Their musical style is best described as a blend of funk, reggae (while sometimes used in a broad sense to refer to most types of popular Jamaican dance music, the term reggae more properly denotes a particular music style that was strongly influenced by traditional mento as well as American jazz and rhythm and blues, and evolved out of the earlier genres ska and rocksteady), folk rock, post punk, pop rock, and blues rock. They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums and 1 boxed set. The band currently consists of Aaron, Dan, Jon, Tomo, Lo, and Jason Crosby.

Don't miss your chance to see the artists who are widely regarded as a major part of the first wave of jam bands!
