Pink Talking Fish

4th August 2017 - Friday 23:00

Pink Talking Fish, a tribute act for legendary bands Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads, and Phish, are bringing their signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!

Pink Talking Fish is composed of Eric Gould (bass), Richard James (keyboards), Zack Burwick (drums) and Dave Brunyak (guitar). Being lovers of the aforementioned band trio, these artists love to heighten people's passion by creating something exciting and fresh for the legions of fans that Floyd, Phish and Talking Head have. According to Eric, he “formed Pink Talking Fish as sort of a dream project and it just caught on like wildfire.” The band’s origin’s lie in a Kansas City bar where Eric and his friends performed covers of various songs. He said in an interview that after doing some acoustic covers of Phish songs, “the idea popped into my head of doing more of what I call a ‘hybrid tribute fusion’ by fusing some bands together.” He picked 3 of his favourite bands it eventually led to the formation of Pink Talking Fish. Creating unique connections is their forte, as heard when they seamlessly blend Pink Floyd's ‘On The Run’ in the middle of Phish's ‘You Enjoy Myself’ or as they perfectly place Phish's ‘Sand’ into the groove of Talking Head's ‘Slippery People’.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists take music from 3 of the world's most beloved bands to create a special treat!
