Sacred Reich, Arizona’s sensational thrash metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!
The band was formed in Phoenix in 1985 and consists of Greg Hall (drums), Phil Rind (vocals and bass), Jason Rainey (rhythm guitar), and Wiley Arnett (lead guitar). Their musical style is best described as a blend of heavy metal and thrash metal (an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its fast tempo and overall aggression, frequent use of fast percussive beats and low register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding style lead work, and lyrics often dealing with social issues and reproach for The Establishment). The band split in 2000 but reunited in 7 years later. Phil said in an interview, “We stopped playing before we got dodgy! I think that’s why people kind of like us….some people don’t want to listen to anything after ‘The American Way’, some others don’t want to listen to ‘Independent’ or ‘Heal’. People are entitled to do whatever the fuck they want, if they don’t wanna like something I don’t care; we just do what we do. If people like it… great, and if they don’t….. We are very fortunate that people just seem to enjoy it!” They’ve had a stellar career with 6 studio albums.
