Tee Grizzley, Michigan's sensational hip hop artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Gramercy Theater!
Terry Sanchez Wallace was born in Detroit in 1994 and is a rapper and songwriter. He started rapping when he was 12 years old and in middle school, he co-founded a rap group called the AllStars Ball Hard. In 2015, he was sent to prison for armed robbery and while incarcerated, he started writing lyrics for what would become his debut mix tape. He said in an interview, "I didn’t have any beats. So usually when you’re rapping with a beat, you’re really trying to ride the beat, and make sure everything sounds good with it. But when you ain’t got no beat, you don’t waste no word. Every word is meaningful, every word got meaning...I made my words more significant." He recorded his debut single (First Day Out) as soon as he was released and it got over 2 million views in under a month. It wasn't long before he got a record deal and he now has 1 mix tape and 5 singles under his belt. He's also collaborated with many renowned artists such as Lil Yachty, Meek Mill, Cash Kounty Pilot, Trae tha Truth, T.I., Dave East, Royce da 5'9", Curren$y, D.R.A.M., Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Chamillionaire, G-Eazy, Styles P, E-40, Mark Morrison and Gary Clark, Jr.
